Dear Leon,
The most important thing is not to discuss it with people until it has been patented. If the idea is easily replicable then you most definitely would need to patent your method and have it clearly defined, this before negotiating with a producer or games packager when you would reveal the idea and lose all.

Wish you luck

Hi,
I wonder if you can advise even though this is not an internet idea.

My idea is for repackaging a commonly available low-cost business product, putting it into smaller novelty packs that turn it into a kids or adults game/relaxation aid/boredom repellent. It is simply a matter of repackaging in a novel way. I expect that it will be difficult to protect and it is certainly easy to copy. Please could you/ anyone guide me as to the financial worth of attempting protection. My wife thinks the best route would be to negotiate a deal with a producer and games packager simultaneously. I agree, but the games packager could easily do it all themselves, so I need to know how to protect against that. Thanks
